Get to Know the Face Behind AMWL

Hello hello!! I am SO excited you are here! I want to take a few moments to introduce myself.

My name is Sarah Curtis! I am a wife, mother, business owner, artist, and Christian.

I love to use my creative brain! I’ve learned how to crochet, knit, sew, bake, embroider, paint, do calligraphy, and more. I’m serious. I LOVE to create.

I am also an Air Force wife! (Hence the blog’s name!)

I married my husband Chase when I was 19, and that’s when I became an ROTC wife. It was my first time being affiliated with the military at all.

Once Chase commissioned a year and a half later, I became a full-fledged military wife. And life got CRAZY.

You can read all about WHY I started this blog here.

But to keep it simple, I was lost. I felt like I was the only one without a handle on this milso (military spouse) life. I felt awkward talking to other spouses about it, and half of the time Chase didn’t know what was going on either.

THAT is why I’m so passionate about this blog! I want to be that resource to YOU as a military spouse, significant other, family member…whoever.

Here at AMWL, expect to find answers to the hundreds of questions you might have about military life.

Need help with acronyms? Tricare? I’ve got you!

And if you can’t find your answers? Let me know!

I also like to include in a touch of everyday family life that can be used by anyone, military or not!

Currently, I have an Etsy shop where I sell military prints. (I also do freelance designs – if you want to try it out, contact me!)

I also send out a monthly newsletter with updates, blog posts you might have missed, and email-list only info (like coupons and early releases of products)!

I am so grateful for the community of friends that I have gained because of being a military spouse.
